Growing up in Canada, I often find it challenging to get used to the American holidays and non-holidays.
Take Black Friday for instance. When I first heard about Black Friday I thought it was a holiday and asked my wife, "If it's a holiday will any stores be open?"
Well I have come to learn a few things about Black Friday and when I saw this I thought it was absolutely perfect!
I like having short hair. With short hair I can skip a shower in the morning and not look like a slob.
Tomorrow is Emma's 10th birthday and MaryBeth is planning a great cake!
To make the cake she needed to bake 4 rounds cakes, and let them cool, while she went out.
My instructions were: When the timer goes off, check them, when they're done, put them somewhere to cool.
I tried to get some more specific details: Should they be on the cooling rack, or on a cookie sheet, or on a cookie sheet on a cooling rack?
In the end MaryBeth told me, "Just put them in the garage upside down on a sheet with something heavy on top of them."
Well I think this is appropriate. It is the garage after all!
I guess I could have made the title of the post, 'Have you ever used polyurethane and a hammer to make a cake?'
