Two plain slices of homemade bread: My daughter always asks for plain slices of bread so I thought I'd give it a try.
Carrots: My son asked me: What was orange and sounds like a parrot? Answer: A carrot. I laughed.
Grapes: "A duck walked up to a lemonade stand and said to the man running the stand... got any grapes"
I then topped it off with a bunch of stuff that kids can bring in a lunch to school, but they look silly in an adult lunch box: juice box, fruit snacks, veggie straws, and a granola bar. I opened my lunch and acted kid-excited to get my favorite juice box. Some people laughed at me, the next day some of them brought juice boxes.
My kids really make little things in my life seem so fulfilling. Who knew it could be fun to pack a lunch?
