My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I loved the Series the characters, the world, the powers and the writing. I easily gave 5 stars to the other two books in this series, and this one was a 4.5 stars.
The world Sanderson created for this series is really great. I love how he brings us into the action and creates memorable characters while keeping a great pace. Very well written and executed. I very much enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it to anyone who loved fantasy. If rating the entire trilogy it would easily be 5 stars and very worth reading.
What held me back from 5 stars on this book is that the ending was a little abrupt and not quite as dramatic as I've seen in other works by Sanderson. When reading Sanderson's work there is always a set up to the final. When you're done reading it you can look back and connect the dots and it's sort of an aha moment and it's amazing.
For me it kinda fell short. And I don't want to give away anything because it is a very good book and the discovery that comes with the ending is enjoyable, just not amazing for me. I also might be holding Sanderson to a higher standard as my favorite author, but as such it also hurts to give him less than 5 stars, but I need to be honest about this finale.
